I question often about morality. We all make a huge deal when a CEO of a company uses his power and influence to make millions off the record. But don't we all do the same thing, just on a smaller scale? Everyone knows that there are ways around every rule in the work place. The first thing you need to decide: Are the rules right? Is morally correct to follow the rules, or to save time/money by shortcutting?

Yes, everyone does that kind of thing. The difference between the CEO making millions on the side and the subordinate using a more direct route to get things done is simply this: The CEO makes his millions by skimming off the top the profits that would otherwise be used to pay out bonuses or expand the corporation. The subordinate just talks to the right person who more often than not would find out about the drug deal sooner or later. Thats my take on the whole thing.

Also I would put forth is this more a question of morals or ethics? If ethics, you're in the clear because you only stated you think of morality.
