They told me to tell my story...

So I will. But I don't think this is the story they want me to tell. Does anyone really want to know what's going on over here? Most people don't. They either want to hear that the Americans are horrible demons who eat babies, or that we're winning the war and Iraqi's love us to death. This is what I've seen. They don't want us here any more. Wanna know how I know? Because they tell us. The Iraqis want us to leave. Their leaders don't like us in their cities, in their country. And due to what is honestly the dumbest move, the Security Agreement has completely tied our hands. Not that the liberal media that demonized every thing we did, and idiotic law makers and ass kissers didn't do a damn good job of that before. But now it's just official. But the leadership in the Army doesn't want to believe it. So they try to force us on the Iraqis, try to force us into places we're still allowed to go but they don't want us to be. Right now my leadership is more worried about getting good reviews so they can get promoted after this is all said and done. Private Security groups have more freedom to do what they want then we do. Plus they get paid more, and don't have to deal with the Stigma of being a Soldier. Just imagine how demoralizing that is for us. Instead of doing the hard, but right thing, most people are content to let the easy wrong slip by. Soldiers are being taken advantage of because we don't have a voice. Forget all that nonsense you hear on the news about Senators standing up for us. They don't give a fuck about us. That's the worst part. Everyone says they care, but no one knows the truth. Because the people in power are getting rich off this war, and soldiers are suffering because of it. So you wanna know my story? We could have done this better, if the proper leadership had been allowed to lead. If we could have been allowed to do our job. If soldiers could have done the right thing, instead ruining it for the rest of us and prolonging this conflict. We did all we could. Now the Iraqis need to step up and secure their cities and towns. This is their country, we need to get out of here. Which works, because thats what they want!
