I'm happy to report that, after checking against my GPS, the Jepp speedometer is dead on now.  I also installed the balanced driveshaft, and the high spped vibration is gone, although it seems that I have a new vibration at about 45 MPH. *shrug*

We're getting prepared for our epic drive north on Wednesday.  Last Friday, I removed the rear driveshaft from the Jeep to have it balanced, because it exhibited an annoying vibration ever since my ill-fated adventure on the East side of Sloan Peak, November 2006 .
