Summer days are here again... at least until Thurday :)

Jul 18, 2016 13:36

So the good weather has finally come... only apparently to vanish again by Thursday. Typical British weather! We made the most of it though this weekend and spent the day at a place called Hawkstone Park. Its a big park near Shrewsbury full of caves, monuments, views and the like. We took the dog who loved being out and about even if she had to ( Read more... )

Goals always help and that's great you're up to 48 already. I love good books. Those are also beautiful photos. How far are you from London?

Achieving two goals is awesome. Sometimes with writing you are either flowing well with plot and character and storyline and other times, nothing at all. But it will come back as you said yourself...you will working on that novel!

Writing goals down has always been essential for me then I can check them off as I go along.

That's fantastic about you and your partner doing the exercise and food plan as you can support and encourage each other.

Thank you. I live in Stoke which is about 4 hours from London. Basically I live slap bang in the middle of the country.

Yeah you're right about the writing thing. I feel like it's starting to come back to me so fingers crossed :)

Haha glad I'm not the only one!

Yeah I'm like that at the moment too, much prefer a good book to TV. I just hope I can keep it up :)

Beautiful pictures, seems like a really lovely way to spend a weekend :)

That's amazing that we're only a little over half way through the year and you're already 48 books in your goal of 50! I love reading, but I don't get the chance to do it all that much. I think that reading more will help you with your writing too - I truly believe if you don't read then you won't write. What kind of books do you like?

Thank you, it was a great weekend :)

You know that's exactly why I wanted to read more this year. I definitely believe that about the link between reading and writing. I like lots really, YA, Sci-Fi, Epic Fantasy, Urban Fantasy, that kind of thing. My Goodreads read list is a right mix lol.

I had never heard of urban fantasy before - I looked it up and it seems there are quite a lot of interesting books in that genre.

Do you know the Weetzie Bat books? I don't know if they'd be up your street or not, but they're a really cool and different young adult series.
