And here's the demo version from a few years before...Like a fucking switchblade. And it proves that a good song is a good song, period.
Day 02. Your least favorite song
Lots of folks have said that this one is really hard, but I think it might be the easiest one on the whole list -
Largely becuase Duane Allman's guitar is out of tune during the ride out. Also, little known fact about this song is that they played it slower in the studio then sped the tape up. But didn't pitch correct (it was the '70's and everyone was coked out, no wonder they couldn't hear) so the whole thing is an annoyingly small amount sharp of natural tuning. And freaking Duane Allman is WAAAAAAAYYY out of tune. Gah. And it goes on too damn long.
Day 03. A song that makes you happy
I've harbored the not so secret belief for the past few years that this song is about, or at least "based on the true story of" John Sinclair. Thoughts?
