I haven't posted in a while, but I heard something on NPR this morning that so made me go, "huh?" that I just had to talk about it. John McCain apparently talked about his new health care plan recently, to contrast it with the Democratic plans. Now this information may have been available before, but this is the first I've heard of it.

McCain is an asshole. And I'm saying this as someone who worked on the American Continental Corporation litigation.

Yes, you do get it. McCain gets it too, but what he gets is from a different perspective. He sees that his buddies in the Republican party who are insurance industry executives will be making even more obscene salaries and profits from his scheme. And the people will be even more screwed than they are now. He doesn't plan to save money; he plans for the Republicans to make more money. The GOP doesn't give much of a shit because they aren't in the least concerned about ALL Americans--only their base of wealthy people, warmongers and Christian extremists.

It seems that only liberals are intelligent enough to contemplate across the board fairness for all. The conservatives' stubborn refusal to acknowledge any of these facts make them either stupid or callous or both.
