End of a webcomics era

8-bit Theater, the first webcomic I ever read is over. I'm glad it didn't end the way most webcomics do, by having the author flame out horribly, but by completing the story. I got to meet Brian Clevinger a few years ago. With the glaring exception of Tim Buckley, every webcomic author I have met has been completely gracious, fun and fantastic ( Read more... )

It really is amazing. I didn't realize that was the ending until he pointed it out in a post on the main page.

I'm not sure if it was my first webcomic or if it was Dominic Deegan, I kind of got into both around the same time along with Demonology 101 sometime 2003. And Walking Is Still Honest very shortly after :P

While it does shorten my list of webcomics to keep up with, I'm kind of sad to see it go, but very happy for Brian, and find it absolutely amazing that he's working for Marvel now.
