This is stupid and I needed to vent.
A friend of mine moved out here at the request of another friend. He offered to let her rent a room at his and his wife's house.
This was going to work out fairly well, except for the fact that the friend and the wife have conflicting personalities. The wife is totally fake and passive aggressive while my friend is insecure and self conscious so she needs feedback whenever something is messed up.
The big problem is that my friend was working at a part-time job and doing an internship. The internship just wasn't for her so she politely left, even though it was a bit of a pain for a different friend who helped her get it. So now my friend has crap for income, is being requested to cough up 2 grand to the friends she stayed with, and being forced to move out right quick. She's managing everything, has some plans, but is just upset.
And, while I feel bad for my friend, the real worst part of it all is the fact that the wife of her friend is just being a cow about it on Twitter. Completely posting awful, childish, pissy passive aggressive things on her feed. And it's really annoying knowing who it's directed at. I would unfollow her but in case she steps over the bounds, I want to be there to defend my friend. My friend, while she has lamented about having to find any second job, any, has not said any bad things about her friend or his wife that I've seen.
The husband is a great guy, I just think he's being rail-roaded by his wife. She has always seemed super fake to me and I have always had difficult times talking to her. It just sucks that he's probably going to lose his friend of many, many years due to his wife hating her for fucked up reasons.
Oh well, it will all work out for my friend and I'll be here for her, and will go on knowning just how crappy a supposedly "super positive" person this dude's wife is.
