video ♑ 002

Mar 13, 2010 12:07

[The video switches on to show Eyes sitting some distance away in a chair. His arms are folded across his chest and his legs are crossed - casual and relaxed. A calm - one could almost say cool - unreadable look is on his face.]

It's been over a month now. [A pause. Yes, that was his greeting to y'all, forced denizens of not!Atlantis.] Apart from ( Read more... )

bored out of my mind, what the heck is this, !voice/video, someone do something, cue tl;dr, where are we and how do we leave, #ic

What? Are you looking for help or just someone to do all the work for you?

Think of it as "working together". [With uncertain terms hm~]

I'd rather know that it's "working together".

[Does anyone here believe in putting in their own effort?]

If that's the way you'd rather look at it. [shrug]

Well?

Oh, I'm sure there are people who'd like to know why. Even you, for that matter.

Who knows if anyone has managed to find anything out, though.

Have you?

Well, just giving away information is no fun at all.

Simply taking information is no fun either.

[...It's you. That smile? It's totally because he's happy to see you. Ayup.]

One that you should appreciate.

Is it an adventurous sort of challenge?

driedfisheyes March 14 2010, 02:49:09 UTC
[Hmmm. Thinks.]

Depends on your definition of adventure. [A pause.] Would you like an adventure?

There was a festival?

[ His curiosity has been piqued. ] Mm, that depends--if it leads to a criminal investigation, I'd prefer not to share information with a minor. But as long as it doesn't, I'm sure it's fine, ja?

Or perhaps to better put it: the song doesn't remain the same if you hide half the notes. But some of them are important to convicting... whoever's doing this, you know?

driedfisheyes March 14 2010, 01:20:39 UTC
Indeed.

[pause. twitch.] Please do not bother considering me as a minor. I don't.

But what use is the score for the entire orchestra if you're only a flute player?

... So they were elated the rest of you were here? Curiouser and curiouser. And yet we still have no 'motive' for this mass-kidnapping...

[ Oh, Eyes. No offense is meant by it, of course. ] Ah, watch it--before you know it, those little creases will turn into wrinkles, you know~? Smile once in awhile! It's good medicine.

[ And now on a more serious note hahahurr: ] ... But that is just how it pans out--legally, anyway. Generally, were this a crime scene, I'd have a lot of paper-signing for you all to do... [ Annnd there's a pause. ]

Of course, from the rockstar who just happens to be off his day job as a prosecutor, however... that depends on if we can find something, doesn't it?

The more the merrier. Testimony is only so good when the logic behind it is as full of holes and gaps as a flute itself, after all~

[Smile...Kanone--but no, no good to be distracted here.]

We are [pause for emphasis] underwater in a city that should not exist with people who should not exist and powers that should not exist. Your testimony would not hold either way.

[There's a big smirk at that.] What, you haven't done so already? Seems to be a long time to wait before investigating, I would think.

Then again, maybe you just don't have it in you to investigate. Therefore asking others to do it for you.

[Yes, he is totally taunting you, Eyes. Because that's the way he rolls.]

Rushing into something without being fully prepared beforehand is foolish.

And if others are better equipped to do such a thing than I am, is that wrong?

How would you prepare for something you have no inkling about? true, preparation is key, but scientific discoveries weren't made when people waited to find results.

No. It's just that you like to use people. No worries, it's a perfectly admirable trait if you show it in the right way.

And scientific discoveries have been made as the result of carefully planned experiments designed to test certain properties and theories. Whether they proved that theory or another one altogether was still the result of thorough preparation.

[...] A trait that you express?
