It was somewhat a telling time talking with a cowOrker who is USMCinRecovery, since as we all know, there are no-ex-jar-heads, only ones in recovery, and he was raising the problem of pirates and the scary part about how as we were dangerously engaged in the threat of trial by a jury of our peers in an american law court, in spite of the fact that ( Read more... )

So the USN is now considered an orgai=nization, by whom I might ask. i thought the Navy was simply a group of guys that could not tell the front of a cap from the back and so the omnidirectional hat was developed. If they do something useful other than simply harrassing troops on troop ships, who are trying to do something good for their country, please tell me what.

Any way the applical Law is clearly "The Law of The West" as the Horn of Africa is clearly West of California.

Baring the usual coast guard prejudice we have come to expect from the mountain states, where in, 'the coast guard is the hard corp of individuals around whom the navy forms in times of national disaster' - or one of my favorite John Wayne lines from 'In Harms way' "Whenever you're not busy boating with the Navy, feel free to visit us."

So forgive me, if John Wayne Loved the USN, then clearly Jesus love the USN.

What worries me about both Somalia and Nigeria, even if folks are not talking about the 'piracy problem' off nigeria, because, well, Nigeria has oil and Somalia does not, is the core question of whether or not the matter rises to the mythological 'going galtisms' of the cult of wild wild westing?

I recall some fun loving Swabbies on the USNS General Randolph, who chose 45's on the hip rather than the manly art of Indian wrestling coupled with a refreshing dip.

But then if the wanted to fight they would have joined a Noble Branch of the Service.
