Wow, I don't know where all of that
came from but I get what you are
saying. And you're right more people
should be thankful and all that. But
we live in a country where all people
think about are themselves. =/

i think you are mistaken. People in the US are just as affected as the soldiers. Your right on the part where people dont show their respect, but dont think that just because they dont show it, its not there. I have a great amount of respect towards soldiers. One came in my class and we talked to him about everything. But not one person told him that they appreciated what he did for us. But i think that its not because of a lack of self-respect, its just that people sometimes just dont know what to do. They dont know how to show their appreciation, and so they dont do anything, and move on. The same with this country. Everyone is greatful for the people in Iraq, however, every day brings about new problems and challenges for different people. And its sad that some soldiers dont have anyone to come home to, but when they do come home, people show their appreciation by throwing huge celebrations for them when they get off the plane. Or atleast that's what my city has done ( ... )

well thank u it is nice to have friends like u. The reason I wrote that is because from what I seen there is times ppl dont like the solders in the service. Like here in Korea we are here to help them keep out North Korea but when u go off post u have to worry about protesting u. They get in front of the bases with like thousands of ppl and sit there and tell us to go home. They also love to try to get over the fences and hope that we do something stupid so they can take a pic of it and post it on the net and also give it to the news. That is where all that came from but there is some ppl in the states that do hate us. There is nothing I can do about it but just sit back and take it.
Any way so where u been I know life can get u caught up in some stuff. I hope everything is ok. Well write me later so I can catch up on stuff. Talk to u later
