well, i guess you have already made your decision but of course i would ask you to really make sure this is something you want to quit. I don't want to try and convince you to stay and it isn't just because i'm drum major. As your friend i'm really going to miss you in band and i hope you have a really good reason for quitting because i think the band would be better with you in it. i hope at least we have classes together so i can see you some of the time. And you better come to some competitions and football games or i'll beat you up. we'll miss you so much. just make sure your making the right decision. Love, Lizzy

well i started typing a really long one and this is what i remember from it:

i saw ur mom as she was walking out of the aquarium that day and she told me to talk with u about it and all that sooooo consider this our talk! do what makes u happy, honestly it's not like u are quitting band and doing nothing u are ending one chapter in ur life and stating a new one. the only thing i can really say is do this for u, not for the drama scene or the group of people but do it b/c this is what u want..... but i applaude u for doing what u want to and if u make the wrong choice u'll know but atleast u will grow as a person!!!

thanks to both of you for caring. and for your advice. this was not the easy decision that i might have made it out to be in my post. this was something i considered for a long time over summer, but couldn't really comprehend doing because it was such a big change. but for my upcoming year, i think it was for the best that i leave the position and the band for people who can dedicate themselves and make the commitment.
