is it unreasonable of me to expect my friend to call me when i am going through a break-up?
and that i shouldn't be the one to call them all the time.

i understand that they have a life too.

but i feel like i would at least call once to check up on them or see how they are doing. even a text....or whatever.

People are flakes. Especially in L.A.-Lite. Worse in some, better in others. Doesn't really matter. Choose your friends like Indy chose the Grail. Either they will prove themselves or not. Seen more than I care to in other peoples friends, even some in my own. My experience is that it takes a great deal of time and even as you grow older you'll still discover that some people you thought were friends are really just hangin' out buddies.

Mirror Spock frowns on their shenanigans. Alas, take solace - Allison Goldfrapp makes everyone happy:

so very true...
it just sucks when you consider this person to be one of your closest friends...

Happened to my wife from her "best friend", a woman supposedly very in touch with love, light and happiness.
