AAH that was scary. we felt the earthquake quite strongly here on the 5th floor. the hallway was instantly full of squealing, awkwardly giggling girls... sigh. I think that's about the worst one I've ever felt. if tokyo doesn't kill me, maybe I'll go study by vesuvius next. okay back to massaging my temples ( Read more... )

Just wanted to ask how tall is the building and hope that you and your granola box are intact (I really want some honey oatmeal granola bars right now...; _ ;)

Also, got an e-mail from Jeff, and he was thinking about flying to Tokyo the weekend before the CIR conference starts on Monday the 13th of Dec. and crash at your place...but I wasn't sure if it's correct to say that only girls are allowed? I might've missed the message/e-mail about the 'house rules'...Please let me know!

actually, no guests are allowed - if you're caught letting friends stay overnight, they throw you out (I mentioned it in the middle of an earlier post that was really long and rambling...). I could try to sneak one of you in as an absolute last resort, but if you could find a place to stay somewhere else it'd be much easier... sorry!! I want to put you up, but I don't want to risk getting evicted either (unlikely but scary).

way to be a careful-reader, mandy ; _ ; I see I see...I shall let Jeff know as well. I think I am unlikely to go that weekend since my co-worker will be going to Chiba with me for the conference so we'll probably fly there on the 13th. I have e-mailed Carol before about staying with her (she's about 2-3 hours away from downtown Tokyo...?) I will e-mail her again just to make sure I can stay Dec. 16-20! How's everything going? I hope you're not getting too many earthquakes! > _

The first time I felt an earthquake I yelled a bit, ran around in joy, AIMed everyone I knew and then.. blogged about it too.

Someday the dusk of man will be accompanied by a 14 year old girl writing "omg i c the apokolips comin. hay guys this is really wowowowowow!"

to which my great great great great.. ..great grandson will reply "lol post pix plz. kekekekekekekekeke"
