That is a bizarre law, one I wasn't aware of. In a country of strange things, underwear vending machines for example, that's odd and kind of surprising.
I'd agree that personal choice is one thing, but a law restricting that? I'd say "it's ridiculous," were it not so serious as to leave the word seeming insufficient. I would hope the law would be changed, but change is generally slow to come about.
