Distracted by the lights of the school building in the distance, Janice nearly bumped into the not-dawdling girl with her bags.
"Hey -- watch where you're going, will you?" she snarled, perfectly aware that she was the one who hadn't been watching. She extracted a cigar from her pocket, bit the end off, and lit it deliberately as she scrutinized Callisto.
The style of the leather armor she wore was unmistakable, and Janice took a step back. "Where did you get that?"
Leather armor, distinctly athletic looking blonde . . . no, it couldn't be. Not even here.
"Thrace," Janice echoed disbelievingly. "What the hell are you doing with armor from Thrace? You must've gotten robbed on the transaction; they haven't made stuff like that since Xena's time."
