All the news that fits

My paid LJ account expired, but I don't think I'm going to notice much.

I actually wrote something. Ask the Doc: When a therapist breaks your trust.

Love ya!

Enjoyed reading, and I think something's up with your comment settings - i tried posting as LJ profile and I tried with name/url and it just erased my comment and wouldn't take it!

Good grief! How terrible that that would happen. Tell me - I'm not a therapist but I've heard that therapists often have a mentor or head of their practice that they report to - is trying to report the therapist to someone higher up in their company an option? Is that something less severe than reporting them to the board, but that still has weight?

I'll check the comment settings. I'm upgrading from Blogger in a couple of months for that and many other reasons.

As for the reporting question, it really depends upon where you're going for therapy. Someone in private practice would really only be accountable to the licensing board. People doing therapy as part of an agency would have a supervisor, usually. Supervisors are very interested in hearing about this, because if you're practicing pre-licensure your supervisor's license is responsible for whatever happens.

I'm really torn on the subject of paid LJ accounts. On the one hand, I love having it. On the other hand, I don't use it all that much.

Exactly. Sandi said that she let hers expire and it didn't matter much to her, so I thought I' give it a shot.

Every time my paid LJ account expires, I let it lapse for a month or two and then eventually renew because I like receiving my comments in email. Makes it easier to search for posts I had seen somewhere.

Just in case you miss it, plugged your One Minute posts today over in my LJ:
