Chris had equipment spread out across the hallway, working to rig something that would make Atlantis' telescopes more compatible with Earth technology. There was a comet passing nearby soon, and, barring another surprise catastrophe, Atlantis' astronomy team would have front-row seats for it.

He doesn't hear the approaching footsteps over the music from his mp3 player, but he catches a glimpse of motion out of the corner of his eye and turns to see Dr. Faal slowing to pick his way through the obstacle course of equipment.

Chris pulls the headphones out of his ears. "Hey, sorry about the mess, I didn't expect anyone to come by..."

Jeremy skidded to a halt, the sight of the equipment startling him.
He certainly had not expected this.
For a moment he studied the equipment, then offered a smile, "Hey....what are you building?"

Jonny stopped in a random hall, resting for a moment before he ran back to the city proper. He was glad that he started running, but put off that he had no one to run with. He and Sheppard just couldn't get past the whole rank thing and Ronon was too fast for him.

He was about to head back when the sound of boots running caught his attention. Jonny turned just in time to see Dr. Faal job around the corner. "Hey."

Jeremy blinked and turned in the direction of the voice, waving slightly, "Hey." he replied, rather startled that he wasn't the only person in this area of the city this early in the morning.

Jonny laughed at the awkwardness. "Sorry if I startled ya. I didn't know anyone else ran out this far. How are you settling in? Everything okay?"

He shrugged slightly “So far everything is good.” And he prayed that it would stay that way, everything seemed so chaotic at the moment. "I like to run." he added after a moment, "I was thinking of going further..."
