Still looking for full-time work. Helping out at the Crypt (working on admin, book orders and dispatch, and a bit of ebook conversion work), still doing Tours. Have slowed my submersion.

Open to leads. Considering options.

If the company I worked for was up there I could probably help, which is meaningless tripe considering it ins't and I can't. But I was trying to make a gesture in my own lame way. Going back to uni in IT worked for me, is that something you could consider?

I'm not really in a financial position to consider study at present, sadly.

I'm going to provide some information as food for thought, no expectations attached. You know that cartoon now years old, of the heron swallowing the frog, and the frog has a grip on the heron's neck, entitled "never ever give up"? That's me, for better or worse :)

There are part time and online study options, ie OLA or Open Universities Australia where HECS is slightly cheaper without the face to face component. Apart from initial fees of a couple of hundred dollars (yes I know, but there are also ways around having to come up with the money immediately, like student grants), the rest is HECS which you may never have to pay back, or at least very slowly once you are working. These would allow you to keep the jobs you've got.

But the OTHER consideration is that when you have been on Newstart long enough, you get the same rate for Austudy. And Austudy has a much greater income allowance.
