hey drjon i'm przxqgl, and i have "friended" you, because i believe that you and i may be members of the same karass...
but because of the fact that i disagree with the policies implemented by our livejournal overlords, i no longer update my livejournal. however i do have a blog that you can add to your feed, if you're so inclined... 8)
Thanks for dropping by! I'm not posting to LJ much myself at present (not an ideological position, life's just been uncooperative), but that may change. I hope you enjoy reading what I do post!
As an old school Discordian, you may have participated in the abnormail mailing list. I assume that 'Ol Sam isn't living at the address mentioned by Kerry Thornley in the introduction to the fifth edition anymore, so it seemed like a good idea to ask you: how did abnormail actually work? Did you all send messages to one central person and was he expected to redistribute them? Was everyone expected to send letters to everyone they wanted to contact, and was the mailing list more of a address exchange? Did it work entirely differently? Was the whole thing an elaborate setup in order to fool us all into jaking some poor guy in Morristown?
Abnormail was a kind of Central Sorting. The best pieces were redistributed to the Mailing List. Greg and Kerry set it up to keep themselves abreast of how Discordianism was evolving, and to make and remain in contact with new Discordians. Of course, it was also the boiling pot for Jakes...
Good luck with that. Please let me know how it goes.
I should have mentioned, btw: I'm a Discordian from the Interregnum between the Old School and the New. I've had contact with seveal Old School Discordians, but I cannot claim to be amongst their number.
