Brain is numb...

I really have no idea how people stay in the same job for years on end. I think the bookstore is making my brain turn to mush. I do the same thing day in and day out. The tedium is killing me.  I am looking forward to the beginning of October when I'll start working at the library.

You can have it both ways working in a job for years on end. It can become mind-numbingly boring or mind-numbingly stressful. Either way, you develop "callouses" to it, in a sense. I do my job on autopilot half of the time.

I think submitting to the mind numbing repetition is not something I want to do. I keep trying to find, imagine, or makeup a job that's not so dreary. We shall see what happens after Grad school...
Speaking of weird jobs I was wondering what you knew about "gaming writer's." Not writing code, but the people who develop dialog and plot lines and stuff.... You are one of the biggest gamers I know, I thought you might have some insight.

I just read an article recently on gameindustry.biz about the importance of story writing in video games. There's a huge demand for it, evidently.

Suzzallo library at the University of Washington. I get to work there while I'm in school. I'm very excited.

how are you two? are you going to Burning Man this year? Sorry I haven't been back in touch - i got your messages about the great airfares and deals but unfortunately can't partake of them as getting back on my feet from the loss of my vehicle and replacement with Kyndra's van. Hope to see you soon. I'll be coming up for Vancouver (a wedding) in weekend of October 17th.

We are well. We have managed to calm everything down after the wedding, it took a while. I understand busy and broke. :-D I hope you are doing better now.
Yes, we are headed down to Burning Man this year. In fact we are packing to leave tonight.
We weren't going to go this year, but G got a call from the Cafe, and they desperately needed help. We decided to take advantage of their generous offer.
October? Well that means we may get to say 'Hello.' It would be nice to see you, and as you already know, you have crash space if you need it.
