A quick and dirty listing of things I need to keep straight while playing this Ventus.
☯ His spells.
☯ Fighting style - hybrid of Ventus's and Vanitas's styles - he's fast and relies a lot on his speed, but is also brutal in his attacks, aiming for a bash them til they are gone approach. He's more vicious than he should be, but again, Vanitas's influence. That and it works and it's slightly easier to last more than 30 second in a fight with Vanitas. Slightly though, as his general fight time is around 40 seconds now.
☯ He's getting stronger, slowly. But he's also becoming jaded; he's had all of his beliefs torn apart, twisted or otherwise attacked again and again. He's not as naive, though he will seem it because he has pretty much zero self confidence and self esteem.
☯ Seeks approval however he can from Vanitas, to the point where he has Stockholm Syndrome.
☯ Wayfinder: Ven thinks that was shattered - it will appear as such in his dreams if it shows up.
☯ Hides what hope / rebellion he still has because he doesn't want to break fully. He said that he'd never break and he will keep that as much as possible.
☯ He is dangerously unaware of both his connection to Vanitas and his ultimate intended fate.
☯ Has never seen Vanitas's face.
☯ ABANDONMENT ISSUES LIKE CRAZY and has so little faith in his friends that it's not funny.
☯ Flinches at most contact, regardless of intent, but doesn't shy away.
☯ If woken up / attacked suddenly, will bring his keyblade to bear to defend himself - more often than not it'll be against an Unversed. Sometimes it's Vanitas. He'd rather not think about those times ok?
☯ Hates hates hates things around his wrists - he tends to freeze up in fear and go really submissive and doormat like if that happens.
☯ Generally only has five hours sleep at a time, and his sleeping is so screwed up it's not funny.
☯ Doesn't know days any more; Tends to go via the times that Vanitas is there and not and by times when he's fed. A 'day' is generally worked out by meals, but he's lost count.
☯ Avoids pain as much as he can, period; this tends to result in him being pretty submissive, timid and doormat like. This leads into the fact that if someone's bossy/pushy/demanding he'll cave into what they want, even if he'd rather not.
☯ Life over Morals, end of story. He firmly believes that Vanitas can and will, could and would end his life in a heartbeat if he was in the mood so yea.... He's pretty obedient to him, but he can and does still think for himself.
☯ Shows little to no opinions himself. Goes with the flow. It avoids pain as best he can. And showing an opposing opinion's generally a bad thing now.
