omg, you guys.
The Samurai 7 play.

...I don't know what all to say right now. Just wow.
I'll write a full review of the play itself when I get back to Aomori tomorrow evening, but now please have some non-spoilery notes about the show in general.

I have no idea when we'll be able to get together, but maybe we'll just have to plan a weekend like this sometime - to meet up in Tokyo for 3 or 4 days or something.

Did you know that Kikumaru's voice actor was in the play? Pretty cool, huh~

But reading your reports is the next best thing to being there.
The chibi samurai tin is adorable. That is all. :D

Don't worry! When the DVD comes out, I'll try my best to rip it for you guys if no one else does. It's too much love not to share!
I was surprised they gave it to me for free! ...probably because I spent so much money. ^^;; The chibi samurai were all over the merchandise at the play~

Shiiiiny pamphlet *_____*
I've just started watching the anime in time for the DVD release next year, and holy shit, I can't wait to see Masa as Kyuuzou! I am ridiculously pleased that he was awesome in it! oidhfgoisdgs, TWO SWORDS. SHORT BLOND HAIR. Good times, good times.
There's going to be a photobook?!?!? Aaaaah, can't wait.

Then please don't read the summary I wrote! o______o I don't want to spoil the awesomeness for you!
I was a bit nervous about Masa playing Kyuuzou, to be honest, since he doesn't usually play such serious characters, but it turned out that he was absolutely perfect in the role with a deep voice & bad-ass-ness, and then he had to come out during the senshuuraku speeches with his normal voice & smiley face & giggles & complete adorableness and gah, it was love. XD
There will definitely be a photobook! Right here~. I really don't want to wait until nearly March to have both that & the DVD...

That's why I went to this one ;D I don't want to be spoiled just yet, though I have a fair idea that Masa's character will die after a few of the comments on his blog that he made.
I think that being in the Dr Strange Love play was really good for his acting. No singing or dancing, just lots of woe and death. And now I am practically frothing at the mouth of your description of him omfg *_____* deep voice and being a bad-ass ... *brain splooge*
I COMPLETELY FAIL. I preordered his DVD already through a deputy service with a bunch of other things without realising there would be a photobook as well. STUPID JAPAN. TOO MUCH AWESOME MERCH. *looks at bank account* ... Masa in awesome short blond hair times? :D?
you should link this at Masa's comm! No one else seemed to go to this play or cared enough to make a report post.

I went to see the first and the last stage of samurai7
...well there were not that many differences...mainly the the parts about all that cheering wich were encouraged by Moriyama. And yes of course Nakagauchi in that ridiculous DB-outfit was one of the major changes.

I'm kinda glad that there weren't that many differences. That way, when the DVD comes out, I won't be missing so much. But I really hope they somehow manage to get DB!Masa on the DVD! It was pure love, his face during that is like burned into my mind, since he was looking straight at me when he did it. XDD And it'd just be awesome to have a Kyuuzou in a DB costume pic. Just because.

I think I stick out a lot because I'm blonde and quite tall on top of that^^°
that would be so great XD
I really hobe that we will be able to see that on the dvd.
I know what you mean...I was seated in the second (actually 4th but you know what I mean^^) row and I was just so captivated by the look in his eyes^^
I'm so looking forward to "yume wo kanaeru zou!" X3
