part II
this is a couple more scenes of my movie. if any one has any opinions please post and if anyone has an idea for a title please post.
Coye grabs her stuff and throws food into a garbage. She walks outside and looks up the road and then down the road.
Coye
I have no idea where I am going.
Aiden see this.
Aiden
Do you know your way around town?
Coye
No. I just moved here and today I felt like
Getting out of my house.
Aiden
I know what that is like. Where do you live?
Coye
Hang on.
She gets her cell phone out of her bag and presses a butten on the phone.
Coye
Hey mom, its me. (Beat) Yeah, um, what’s
Our address? (beat) (To Aiden) 234 Oak St. (beat)
No Mom I’m not lost. (beat) bye.
Aiden
I know where that is. Come on.
They skateboard to Coye’s house. Coye’s house is a big white house with a “Beware of Dog” sign on the door.
Coye
Do you want to come in?
Aiden
Sure.
They go inside and go in the kitchen where a middle age woman is sitting at the table with a laptop and drinking coffee. A cell phone and cordless phone is near by as well as a notebook and pens. Coye grabs a couple of cokes out of the fridge.
Lady
Coye. Your home thank god. I was getting worried.
Coye
Aiden. Astrid. Astrid. Aiden.
Coye heads out of the kitchen.
Coye
Mom, we’re going up
Stairs. Clothes will stay on.
Aiden
Nice meeting you.
Aiden follows.
Astrid
Same here.
They walk through the living room which is barely furnished.
Coye
My dog Manson is probably on my bed so just
Be careful.
They go up a flight of stairs. They take a left and go to the door straight ahead.
Aiden
What kind of dog?
Coye
Pitbull.
Coye puts the Cokes on a stand with pill bottles and quickly hides them in a drawer in the stand. A black and brown dog is laying on the bed. He jumps off and sniffs Aiden. He quickly jumps back on the bed and Coye pets his head roughly.
Coye
There’s my baby boy.
Aiden
Big dog. His name is Manson.
Coye
Yeah, but he’s harmless.
Aiden pets him and sits on the bed.
Aiden
So…
Coye goes to her television and turns it on. A heavy metal music video is playing. She grabs a video tape and shows it to Aiden.
Coye
I have Nightmare before Christmas if you want to
Watch it.
Aiden
Sure.
Coye puts it in and sits next to Aiden on the bed. Manson goes in front of the door and lays down. A knock on the door and it opens. The room is dark and Coye and Aiden are lyin on the bed watching the Nightmare Before Christmas.
Astrid
Okay, I’m going to bed. Nice meeting you, Aiden.
Don’t stay up to late.
Astrid closes the door. The movie ends. They go downstairs and Aiden is ready to leave.
Aiden
So do you want to hang out after school tomorrow?
Coye
I guess.
Aiden
I could show you all the cool hot spots.
Coye (smiles)
That would be nice.
Aiden leaves. Coye goes to bed.
Morning. Coye walks into the kitchen in a pair of Tripp Bondage Pants and a red tank top and a black zip-up hoodie. Her red hair is split into two buns resting on her head. Dark makeup and the same accessories. She gets a cup out of the cupboard and orange juice out of the refrigderator. She pours a glass. Astrid is eating a bowl of cereal and drinking coffee. Her stuff is still where it was.
Astrid
He seems like a nice guy.
Coye (smile)
I hope he is.
Coye drinks her orange juice.
Astrid
So I take it you won’t be home until
Late tonight.
Coye
Don’t worry. I am still on the meds and nothing
Is going to happen. And if you want reassurance
You can call my cell every five minutes if you want.
Astrid
All it takes is five minutes.
Coye
Grr..
Coye puts her glass in the sink.
Astrid
Do you plan on telling him anything?
Coye
Why would I tell a complete stranger?
Astrid
You brought him home didn’t you?
Coye
He helped me around town. And I didn’t sleep
With him or kiss him. I want to get to know him
First.
Astrid
I’m glad.
Coye (scrathes head)
I need money.
Astrid (takes her wallet out of her purse)
I knew that was coming. How much?
Coye
I don’t know like fifty. Who knows what
I’ll end up doing.
Astrid hands her two twenties and a ten.
Astrid
Okay. But this is for the next couple of days
So if you spend it all you are screwed.
Coye
As long as you give me lunch money.
Astrid
Time for school.
A school bell rings. Students pour out of school in normal street clothes. Coye comes out and see Aiden with a couple of kids. Aiden sees her and waves her over and she walks over.
Aiden
Hey. I was hoping to see you.
Coye
I know.
Aiden
This is Disa, Kyla, Britte, and Jerod.
Disa is a tall, skinny blond in ripped jeans and a hoody. Kyla is skinny, normal height with dark blue hair. Jerod is taller than Aiden with a bright red Mohawk. He is wearing ripped baggey jeans and an Element sweatshirt. They all have skateboards. Jerod is trying to do ollies. He stops and looks Coye over. Disa sees this.
Disa (snobby)
So how did you meet this one?
Aiden
She just moved here and I showed her how
To get home.
Disa (apathetic)
Oh, the damsel in distress routine.
Aiden
Cut it out.
A car pulls up and see Coye and whistles. The guy driver is in his early twenties, blonde, with a goatee.
Loki
Aiden, you sure do know how to pick them.
Aiden
This is my lovely brother, Loki.
Loki
Hi.
He wave at Coye and then starts talking to Aiden.
Loki
Look, I hope you have plans tonight
Because I’m having company and I cant
Have you there.
Aiden (laughs)
Who is she and how old?
Loki
Bridget and she is 19.
Aiden
Well, it’s a good thing I do have plans.
Loki
I’m out of here then. Disa need a ride to work?
Disa gets into the car.
Disa
As long as you don’t try to grope me.
They drive off.
Loki
Okay.
Kyla
So, Coye what are you into?
Coye ( confused)
I don’t know what you mean.
Kyla
Music.
Coye (sarcastically)
I listen to that really hardcore rap shit. Why?
Jerod (laughs and shakes head)
Man, I hope your joking.
Coye
I am.
Jerod
Good because Aiden, Loki, and I have a three-man
Band going.
Coye
Really?
Kyla
Yeah, they really suck.
Jerod
Hey. You weren’t saying that last weekend.
Kyla
If I remember correctly I said “the other bands were
Great but you guys sucked”.
Aiden (to Coye)
She only says that because she is friends with us and
Refuses to help advertise.
Kyla
That’s what you think.
Aiden
Anyway, these guys are going to go with us. Jerod, here,
Knows more spots than I can. And Kyla, I thought could
Come along so you don’t feel out of place.
Coye
Sounds like a plan. As long as one of you guys know where
You are going. And I have someone to help me get home.
Aiden
No problem. Let’s go.
They all skateboard off camera.
