Tragedy Strikes on Christmas Day...

So a few hours ago Nemesis, my cat, started kneeling intently in the hallway, not moving or being distracted for anything. It took us a while, but finally we noticed the strange behavior and, upon investigation, found that there was a little field mouse cowering in a corner, hiding for its life. See, I'm tempted to say yes, that I'll just let her eat the next one, but Dave was making all these comments about how mice carry a whole host of communicable diseases and that it would be a bad idea to let the cat eat the mouse because she might get seriously sick. The OTHER concern is, wouldn't I have to clean up/throw away whatever remained of the mouse after she ate it? *shivers in disgust*. I'd much rather deal with a live, whole mouse then the nasty piecemeal remains of a dead one....So I just don't know. I guess we'll see when/if she ever finds another one...
