My Night In Suburbia...

Last night I met up with Grace in the city and drove down to Campbell to go see Charlie. We went to one of the 4 bars in town, where a 70’s disco cover band was performing. Wow! So many things to say…

To set the tone, the bar was called “The King’s Head” and the décor was very historical middle-ages with armor and swords on the wall right next to ( Read more... )

Was that the name of the band per chance? I think they sport pink afros though, but sounds like a close "Battle of the Cover Bands" at any rate. Sounds like a great night but thanks Gawds we be E Bay!

I don't recall the name that they used, but I remember seeing a flyer and I don't think there was any reference to wonderbread. They apparently have a couple of different acts, from 70's to 80's to something having to do with being spasmatic nerds...I don't know. Charlie said that they're based out of walnut creek and they have a weekly event there. Honestly, I think they were kind of sleazy and assholish myself.

And thank gawd indeed. Speaking of the East Bay being all rockin', we need to organize some bar crawling nights on this side of the bridge to find the hidden jewels, per our discussion. What do you say?

Sounds like a plan. I think next weekend is rather blank on the schedule. You in for Sunday night 24 this week? 2 shows to do!

Assuming I'm not still half dead, yes! I've been intentionally avoiding watching 24 because I wanted to watch it with you!

Yay! Another geographic region joins in! I don't know why they're so good, but it's like taco crack. They get you hooked and then everything else pales in comparison.

PS. Glad to hear you had a good weekend. Pepper's party sounds like it was a lot of fun. ;)

I will what? Move to suburbia? I hope not. Or, if for some reason I do, I'll be sure to drive my ass as long as it takes to get to something reminiscent of a city if I'm in the mood to go out partying/drinking/dancing!
