Well, in my case, it's "Coffee and Chickory" from some place in New Orleans. It's a blend, so that must make it much better, or something. As the Chickory is so dang strong, my guess is cutting it with Coffee results in a nice flavorful blend, without the 'OMGWTF' of pure Chickory.

Couldn't you use the lava-handling gloves to protect the countertop? Or are you experimenting with lava on the countertop too and that's really the problem and not your coffee habit?

Well, the issue isn't that I'm burning the countertop - it's that I /staining/ it. Tiny drops, rings, or spills, it seems that I don't notice them until they've stained the surface.

Boo me.

Oh, right. That makes sense.

Well, uh, lava would stain the countertop too. Really, I just wanna know if you're getting your money's worth out of the lava-handling gloves.

Oh, of course, how could I not? I've seen no harm from 100% of the lava handled since I bought the gloves.
