I've been thinking about reading Bitterblue but I've only read Fire (couldn't get into Graceling at all) and was wondering if I'll miss anything by not reading the first book.

You liked Fire more? Really? I liked Fire, but I liked Graceling much more. Still, you should be okay to read Bitterblue. Kasta and Po show up in Bitterblue, but not as major characters. So long as you understand that Bitterblue's father Leck was an insane, sadistic, evil man with mind control powers (which you see just fine in Fire), you should be fine.

And if you do end up coming my way, let me know. :)
