Tonight I heard a nasty-ass rumor. Apparently there may not be an orchestra for the purple side this year. We would be replaced by a jam-band. What the HELL?! I am beyond pissed. I will fight for my damn orchestra. A LOT of people will be pissed about this, and you better believe I'll be in the front leading it. I don't care if this starts

I'm not officially on one side or the other, but that would be really dumb! with as many music major purples as there are, they should be involved with their respective orchestral instruments, not just a bunch of guitars and stuff. Musicals aren't written with jazz bands. hmm.

Its just a rumor!!!! I have it on authority that it is just a rumor...don't worry about it...we need an orchestra!!!!

As far as I know, that's just a vicious rumor. There may be a jazz band, yes. But the plan is to have it as a supplemental thing, NOT FOR IT TO REPLACE THE ORCHESTRA. I really suggest, though, if you are concerned, ask Eva or Jason. You guys deserve to know, and they should tell you.

I just wanted to let you know that Jason and I have also heard this rumor. We do NOT intend to replace the orchestra. We love our music majors, and feel it would be pretty difficult to have a musical without said music.
Please do talk with us if you have any other concerns. We've been trying to put out this fire for a while now- which is hard to do when we don't know the source. Please tell anyone else who has any questions to contact us.
