I don't really 'understand' Indian food. I can't readily pick out spices, or even cooking method used to make it. I don't know what goes into the mint sauce that makes it taste like it does. I do know I like it. Specifically, I liked the India House Restaurant and Bar. I got the chicken tandor. GK got the chicken tikka. Both were very good

The mint sauce is primarily cilantro, also referred to as coriander leaf.

There was also a lot of onion in the mint sauce (at least that's what it tasted like).
