What the Fuck?

Honestly, can someone please explain to me how House has not been canceled? I have tried to give the show a chance, and my expectations were less than 0, so it should not have been hard to even meet them, let alone exceed them. I mean, if shows like Off Centre, Firefly, Angel, Tru Calling, Veronica Mars, Arested Development get canceled, but a ( Read more... )

I'm sorry, I happen to enjoy House. yes, House is an ass hole and there's nothing to like about him, but the other characters have a lot going for them for the most part. Take Wilson, for example. He's the entire reason I started watching. I love Robert Sean Leonard.

The show is interesting, and entertaining. And it's really cool to have another show that mixes the formulaic part with the characterizations (except, my other show does it slightly better...since we saw how much season 3 had issues...*kicks Cameron*)

Anyway...yes, I'm sad shows like Firefly, Wonderfalls, and Keen Eddie (I changed your list to mine, teehee) get canceled, but I don't want House to get canceled. What would I do with my Tuesday nights? (Besides homework).

I think they share a common characteristic, their scorn for people, however I think the differences you stated between the two is what's great about it. Dr. Cox is supposed to be a tad over the top because Scrubs is aimed to be a comedy. House is supposed to be more of a serious show and therefore that is why he's "not nearly as funny, well acted or multi-faceted as Dr. Cox". I don't know about you, but if I had a doctor in real life that pulled half the shit that Dr. Cox did, I'd be a little concerned.

But I don't watch that much House so I can't exactly say how well the show has progressed, or digressed. All I know is I liked what I watched.

I do feel your pain about good shows getting canceled (Black Donnellys) so I can see where your coming from. But I think there are worse shows out there (Heroes) that need to be taken off the air.

Yeah, I did go over the top a bit. I agree, if I had a doctor like Dr. Cox, I would probably sue for malpractice when he poked my broken arm or something.

I guess I just get upset because everytime I really get into a show, it gets canceled. If I watch more than half of a show's episodes live (the first airing) it will be off the air by the end of the season. I suppose I could use it as a weapon to get crap like Desperate Housewives off the air or something, but that would mean having to watch Desperate Housewives.
