[[Takes place on Monday 8D]]
Klavier: *Klavier is driving home from the office on his motocycle. On a whim, he takes the street that leads towards Cromartie High, on the off chance he might see Daryan still there. Driving slowly as he approaches the parking lot, he frowns as he sees no sign of the blue mini van. He brings his bike up to the bus stop, grinning at the familiar boy standing there*
Klavier: Hallo Herr Forehead! I could see the sun reflected off your massive forehead from across the parking lot!
Apollo: *has been waiting for his bus for the last twenty minutes, but it hasn't shown yet. Apollo is beginning to show signs of stress over it- he's due at Kristoph Gavin's office in an hour, after all. He's about to try to call the bus center to see what's wrong when Klavier pulls up loudly*
Apollo: ...*his comment makes him uncomfortable right away, and he wonders if his forehead really looks that sweaty. The expression on his face is quite unsurprised, and he conceals his embarrassment over the stares of his fellow students quite well* ...Hi, Klavier.
Klavier: *grinning wide, Klavier lets his bike idle* Where are you headed today, all dressed up? *he gestures with his head to the dress shirt and vest the boy is wearing*
Apollo: ...To your brother's office, actually. I'm helping him out now, remember? *Apollo stares down at his outfit as though he's convinced there's something staining it now*
Klavier: Oh, going to work for Kris. I remember now. *He moves up a bit on his bike and snaps his fingers* Hop on, I will take you... To my brother's office.
Apollo: ...*stares for a few moments, waiting for Klavier to speed away*
Apollo: ...
Apollo: *when he doesn't, Apollo stutters* Wh-what, you're serious?
Klavier: Ja, hop on. I will get you there in no time. When do you need to be there?
Apollo: ...About an hour. I-I mean, I'm waiting for the bus. I'll be fine to get there on my own.
Klavier: Ah, we have time to kill then! Get on.
Apollo: Time to kill? *Apollo stands there, a blank look of near-dread on his face, clutching at the strap of his messenger bag so tightly his knuckles have gone white- he gives his fellow students at the bus stop a once-over, and then nods decisively all of a sudden* ...Okay.
Apollo: *he comes up to the bike and manages to climb up rather awkwardly behind Klavier, taking some time to try to figure out where to put his bag*
Klavier: Keep your bag between us if you can squish it. Hold on tight to me, or... Well, your best bet is to hold on to me, ja? Just hold tight.
Apollo: I don't know about that. *sounds quite nervous* I have a lot of books in it. I don't know if I could get my arms around you if I did that...
Klavier: Teach your arms to be longer. *he looks over his shoulder, giving Apollo a rather serious look before smiling playfully* I can drive slow. Just keep it at your side.
Apollo: Oh... my god... *shoves the bag between them both and hurls his arms around Klavier* Please don't kill us.
Klavier: Relax, Herr Forehead! ...That has only happened once! *he drives off before Apollo can object and jump off, speeding off down the road*
Apollo: *is about to reply, but the sudden speed sucks all of the air right out of his lungs, plucking his thoughts with it* !!!
Klavier: *Klavier drives for about ten minutes with Apollo clinging around his middle for dear life. Klavier slows his bike down and pulls into a strip mall, stopping in front of a small ice cream parlor and parking his bike. He looks over his shoulder to Apollo* I want ice cream. You want anything?
Apollo: *Apollo's hair has flattened out considerably due to the ride and he tousles his wind-swept locks, trying to catch his breath and play it cool* That was... Uhh. That was fast. *he blinks and looks around at where they are* Ice cream? *he's not surprised* ...Sure, why not.
Klavier: *Klavier dismounts his bike and kicks down the kickstand, holding a hand out to help Apollo off the bike* Any kind you want, my treat today.
Apollo: You sure? I mean, I'll pay you back eventually. *eyes Klavier and the ice cream parlor dubiously as he grabs Klavier's hand and dismounts*
Klavier: ...It is ice cream, Herr Forehead. Not a... boat. You do not owe me anything! *he leads Apollo inside the building and approaches the counter* What do you want, Forehead?
Apollo: A boat? *he is quick to correct himself* -No, I don't want a boat. I guess chocolate is just fine.
Klavier: No, Herr Forehead. I will not buy you a chocolate speedboat. *Klavier leans over the counter and says to the clerk* Two regular waffle cones -- one chocolate, one strawberry. Soft serve. *the clerk nods and turns around to get their order*
Apollo: I could never finish it, anyway. *Apollo chuckles at his own weak attempt at a joke, standing there and staring at Klavier- almost suspiciously*
Klavier: *Klavier gets out his wallet and tosses five dollars in one's out on the counter, putting his wallet back into his pocket and taking the ice cream from the clerk, handing the chocolate one to Apollo. He nods to the clerk* Thank you. *he gestures for Apollo to follow him back outside, licking the ice cream dripping along the side of his cone*
Apollo: *follows Klavier, managing to make less of a mess due to the napkin he's clutching in his hand*
Klavier: *Klavier takes a seat on the curb and pushes his sunglasses up to his forehead, licking his ice cream* Sit down, Herr Forehead. Enjoy, we have plenty of time before I need to drop you off!
Apollo: *joins Klavier on the curb, setting his bag beside him while carefully balancing his cone* Yeah, I guess we've got about forty-five minutes. *he's still giving Klavier a slightly strange look*
Klavier: Was ist denn los? *Klavier tilts his head a little, raising an eyebrow*
Apollo: I don't speak German, remember? *a small, slight smile quirks the corners of his lips*
Klavier: Ah, right, right. *Klavier wags a finger* You should learn. I asked what the matter was.
Apollo: Aaah, nothing. *shakes his head slightly* Just wondering. You're kind of... weird, sometimes.
Klavier: Weird? I am not the one looking a gift-horse in the mouth, Forehead.
Klavier: What is wrong with buying someone ice cream? or giving them a ride? You work for my brother, you are a friend of mine. It is that simple.
Apollo: N-no! Sorry. I meant... *he looks down at the pavement* It's that you...
Apollo: *he is about to say something about the way Klavier teases him, or about Daryan, but when Klavier says 'you are a friend of mine', he stops, a strange look in his eyes*
Apollo: Huh. *suddenly, he smiles*
Apollo: It's nothing. *still smiling, he takes a lick at his ice cream*
Klavier: Hey, give me a taste of that. *Klavier leans over and licks the side of Apollo's cone, getting ice cream along the side of his mouth* They make pretty good chocolate here but I like the strawberry more.
Apollo: *stares at Klavier before passing him his napkin* You should've told me to get the strawberry, then...
Klavier: *Klavier waves his hand, denying the napkin and licking the ice cream off the side of his mouth* You do not strike me as the strawberry type...
Apollo: I like strawberries. And cherries, and red apples. And peaches, if they're really red... *he gives a shrug*
Klavier: *Klavier raises an eyebrow* What about pink?
Apollo: Pink? Pink what?
Klavier: Pink in general.
Apollo: No, it's like a diluted red.
Klavier: *Klavier smirks a little, licking his ice cream* Do you know what the German word for pink is?
Apollo: No, I don't. What is it?
Klavier: *Klavier chuckles a bit* Hellrot. I believe that means something considerably different in English, ja?
Apollo: ...It does, yeah. *he grins*
Klavier: I got a big kick out of learning that when I was younger. That was when I actually paid attention to studying English.
Apollo: Your English is pretty good, though. Like, really good. *Apollo gives a nod, turning to his ice cream*
Klavier: *Klavier shrugs a bit* That is probably because I have been here so long. I did not pay much attention to learning it in school. I was trying to focus on law, I did not think I needed English right then and there, ja? Because... I figured I would be there for a few more years.
Apollo: Oh? *looks puzzled* ...Really? I thought you came here to work.
Klavier: Well, I did. Sort of. *Klavier shrugs a little, licking his cone* Once I graduated I had to move here to live with Kris. *He flashes a smile to Apollo* I could go back there now that I am eighteen, but I kind of like it here.
Apollo: It's nice here, isn't it? I always thought maybe I'd travel after I'm done with college, though... *he goes quiet, thinking*
Klavier: Traveling is great! I have been all over Europe; England, France, Ireland, Italy, Germany -- naturally. I like it here a lot though. *he bites into his cone*
Apollo: Wow. *he sounds impressed* Personally, I thought I might just visit the east coast...
Klavier: I still want to go to Russia and Holland sometime, maybe even Japan or... Canada! It is very fun to travel, see the sights, meet the people, *he grins, sucking the rest of the ice cream out of his cone* See all the pretty girls~
Apollo: Haha. Well, there's lots of those here, isn't there? *he flushes slightly, tweaking his hair-spikes*
Klavier: *Klavier nods* Oh yes there are. *he raises his eyebrows and glances down the walkway, looking at a group of girls leaving a shop; giggling and talking in their itty-bitty shorts and revealing tank tops*
Apollo: *looks at them, too, but not nearly so openly; after a moment he needs to look away, laughing nervously*
Klavier: Summer is a bit colder in Germany than it is here... *Klavier slowly averts his gaze from the girls, looking back over to Apollo with a smirk* So I am enjoying being here very much.
Apollo: Yeah. I bet you've probably been to the beach already. It's kind of, uh... *his cheeks go slightly red* ...I kind of like surfer girls. *he gives a hesitant little laugh*
Klavier: Ahh, ja, in their tiny swimsuits... Playing their beach volleyball... Girls are pretty awesome.
Apollo: They are, aren't they? *looks like he's daydreaming for a moment*
Klavier: *Klavier pops the rest of his cone into his mouth, chomping it down and wiping his hands on his pants* So, why are you working for my brother? You really are that interested in law?
Apollo: I am. I always have been, really. Mr. Gavin is... Well, he's really something. There are lots of defense attorneys, but not a lot like him.
Klavier: *Klavier nods in agreement* Kris is the best. He is everything a defense attorney should be. You are right though, he is a rare breed.
Apollo: That's why I admire him so much. *his smile turns fond with thoughts of his mentor* I want to be like him.
Klavier: *Klavier chuckles lightly* We need more attorneys like him. Good men, dedicated to their work.
Apollo: We do. *he thinks, inexplicably, of Phoenix Wright then, though he shakes the thought quickly away* Anyway, yeah, I'm glad he took me on.
Klavier: *Klavier stands up, still smiling and holds a hand down to help Apollo up* Come on, I should be getting you to work. Say hello to my brother for me, ja?
Apollo: I will, for sure. *smiles, standing up and tossing his napkin to the trash*
Klavier: *Klavier walks back over to his bike and kicks the stand up, getting back on and starting it back up, waiting for Apollo*
Apollo: *readjusts his bag on his shoulder and mounts behind Klavier, wedging it between the two of them again. He puts his arms around the other boy's waist, preparing himself for the stomach-lurching ride again*
Klavier: *Klavier takes off down the road, heading towards the Gavin Law Office. He's found himself enjoying Apollo's company quite a bit... But he's still going to call him Herr Forehead.*
