Mount Fesford: bylaw violation?

I'll admit it . . . winter in Ottawa is not fun this year.  It's not usually fun, but the temperatures are at least reasonable most winters.  But this year  -- this year!  What's with all the snow?!

Sure the temps have been moderate, so that's a good thing -- but honestly, should Mount Fesford really exist?  Are there zoning bylaws I am violating ( Read more... )

It's not easy to say if Mount Fesford is legal in Ottawa or not. It all depends on definition.

Is Mount Fesford a hazard to those around the dwelling? If so, get your shovel out and move it! It's a good thing we know you LIKE to shovel - and now that the canal is closed, there is no guilt about pesky skating activities that should be taking place against your better judgment.

An interesting point that could be debated at length. It's not as straight forward as sentient beings and their rights. Or is it emotions?

I am now confident that Mt. Fesford may or may not be in violation of some bylaws . . . depending on whether Clintonesque doublespeak is employed.
