Evidently being made Head Girl is sufficiently impressive enough to let my parents forgive my "tantrum" last month about Sirius, though I still get snapped at every time I mention him, which is frequently. They can pretend he doesn't exist, but I'm not going to let them forget that he does.

Head Girl, though? I'd honestly thought it would be Alice, ( Read more... )

I'm sure you'll be wonderful at being Head Girl, Andy! I really truly do! And I promise Ted isn't that bad at cleaning--I've seen two whole shoebox es organized!

Thank you! I still say it should've been you, I'm sorry about that. And I know you and Ted are close, I didn't mean to be rude. We just don't get on well. You may have noticed.

Oh, no! I'm good at being a prefect--if I was Head Girl, I doubt I'd have enough time to help out the first years! And, yes, I think everyone's noticed by now, but it's okay! I'm sure it'll be a wonderful learning experience.

No hard feelings, then? You're better with the first years, anyway, they always love you to bits.

Well. That's a very positive way to look at it.

What? Nice to know that I have the respect of my fellow Head. You really aren't winning any points in the not-heartless-and-evil category, sweetie.

'Sweetie'? And I didn't say I didn't respect you, I just said you're disorganized. Stop twisting my words, it's annoying.

And you're anal about organization. Or did you forget about that one year you had a hissy fit when I didn't organize the food table just as you wanted it at that prefect party. Gee whiz.

I am not anal, it looked horrible! You can't just throw things on plates and say it's good to go, which I told you, but God forbid I make a suggestion. I try that, and suddenly I'm being bossy.

Heavens, coz, such authority! I suppose I'll have to undertake being a complete nuisance, to help you practise and all.

How thoughtful, Sirius, thank you.

Tut Tut, Andromeda. A 'tantrum'? Over something as trivial as your cousin being disowned? You should know better, right? Good for you, though. You should put pictures of him everywhere. Charm the portraits to all speak with his voice. Could be fun?

We'll be there, with bells on. Not actual bells, that could get noisy, but the thought is there. And for the record, overly formal is my favourite kind of formal, so I'd come just for the outfits and the fun awkwardness.

Excellent ideas all. I know they didn't do it, but they certainly didn't do a thing to stop Aunt Walburga and Uncle Orion. They can be annoyed with me if they like; I'm siding firmly with him on this one. Anyway the idea of Aunt Elladora's portrait with Sirius's voice is lovely. Incredibly disrespectful, of course, but lovely.

Why silk and diamonds are necessary when it's practically just family, I'll never know. Apparently they've got Cobble planning something special, though, it should be nice. (If awkward, agreed!)

Haha, it's got to be better than her voice. She's the one who's got that weird nasal-tone thing going on, right?

Cracking out the silk, are we? Well, two Pureblood families can play at that game...haha! You know, regardless of what I wear, nothing will quite top the peacock feather silk cape and ruby encrusted walking-staff-thing that Lucius wore/brought to that last dinner. I honestly almost snorted into my soup.

That's the one.

[Private to Patch]

She's also the one who started the house elf head thing, but don't get me started on that. Honestly that's half of why it'd be funny.

It was a bit much, wasn't it? It's one thing for someone Father's age to carry a walking stick, but eighteen? Really?
