That said, how long until the Onion does a piece on outraged BDSM lifestylers taking to the streets in outrage over some of the President's comments?

I'm pretty sure we haven't met (I'm terrible with names/faces though, so it's possible that we met in passing, but it wasn't significant enough for me to remember). I read Warren (S-H)'s flist on a regular basis, so that's how I came across your journal.

I used to play in the Camarilla games, which I finally realized weren't fun anymore, so I stopped going. Actually, same with a lot of other games. It used to be, I'd be LARPing every weekend, and if I wasn't, I was thinking about it.

I'm finding, though, more and more, that I can enjoy life more by doing interesting things, than pretending to do them. It's more work, but also more satisfying. Besides, for LARPs to be enjoyable for me these days, I have to be so involved and active and consumed by them that it's often more work than play. ;p

Ahh, so you know big huggy Warren. ^_^ Well that's awesome. Do you come to Downtimes at all? I'm there almost every wednesday for Gotham Nights (Vampire) and Knights (Changeling).

I do agree that it can be work if you really throw yourself into them, but the way I've been playing I don't even worry about XP or anything like that. I just have my characters and play them, making sure to get them in as much trouble as possible each game. My second or third game with Cassie I started a scheme that snowballed into filling a volkswagon beetle with chocolate pudding and parking it in front of the MoMA, and my first game with Andy I managed to get her stabbed three times in the chest with flying knives and be the victim of an exploding toilet. ^^; So yes, it's fun and I don't care what happens; as long as my characters don't die I'm fine with it. ^_^ No real work for me.
