I flipped the FUCK out when I found out Melissa didnt get into Pomona early decision. I couldve sworn shed got in, and I seriously was in a funk for the next 5 months until she made her decision. And just a word of advice, unless your relationship is very, very strong going into college, seperation aint gonna work. Everyone hopes it will, and sometimes it does! But most of the time it sucks, hurts like hell, and makes you spend all your time worrying.
In fact, I wouldve at least considered transferring had Melissa chosen to gone anywhere but Scripps for college (or any 5c I suppose). It aint easy, but I wish you the best of luck!
Yeah, I am in similar shoes as you, since my boyfriend is a year younger than me, too. The separation thing is something we already experience - he lives in seattle. I guess that whatever happens will happen, but I'm still really stressed, and it sounds like that was how you felt the year you and melissa were far away from each other. we shall see.
All I can say is good luck! Its a lot of work, fighting, etc, and I wouldnt wanna do it again, but it sure as hell is great to have an awesome significant other whenever youre back in town.
do what's best for you. i had to go through the same thing except for he is a year older. there is always a clear answer out there. but you just might be afraid to really figure it out. if you think that it's worth it then go for it.
