1. Asleep on the couch
It wasn't often that he got to see Natalie sleeping. There was something about her that kept her from succumbing to the fitful slumber when anyone was awake around her; but now it appeared that tiredness had overtaken that instinctual habit of hers. She was curled up in a ball on his couch. They'd been sitting up, talking, and he'd gone to the kitchen for a water.
Coming back, she was snoring.
It was light, but there was no doubt that she was asleep. Her mouth was even open a little, and he couldn't help the smile that came to his lips. This was one of those moments that he wished he could keep in his pocket -- it was adorable.
Jason contemplated waking her, but then he decided that it would be better to let her sleep.
2. You look pretty in a dress
It wasn't often that she wore dresses. They probably weren't particularly pratical for every-day wear, and they likely wouldn't have looked half as amazing if she'd worn them constantly. But when she stepped out of the bathroom, he felt his breathing stop.
In fact, his heart may have stopped too.
She looked nervous, as though she wasn't sure whether or not he would like it. There was silence in the room, complete silence. Finally, he let out his held breath with a whispered, "Merlin."
The bright grin that spread across her face told him that he'd said exactly the right thing, even if he hadn't been able to think of something more eloquent.
