anyone know of any sources on...

quantum physics/mechanics and determinism/free-will/mind-body-problem/consciousness????? popular sources are fine. I'm writing a paper and can't seem to find crap all. I'm actually arguing that quantum physics does *NOT* allow for free will if physicalism is true, but I won't bore you with that here.

if anyone can be of any help, thanx!!

Hey- A bit off topic, but will you let Bill know the e-mail addy I had for him no longer works? :)

I have a couple of good books on quantum theory/mechanics-Schrodingers Cat/Schrodingers Kittens, and then I have one called The Relativity Explosion (But that book pisses me off. To hard to explain here, LOL)

I am sure I have tons more recomendations, including ones that ties religion into quantum physics, but I will have to take a look at what I have.

yeah, Bill just switched providers. If you email me droom_music@yahoo.com I'll give you his new one.

schrodinger's cat/kittens are good ones for this topic. I'll have to look at the relativity explosion. anything that talks about the mind-body problem, consciousness or free will in relation to physics.

My argument is basically that good old-fashioned dualism is, despite it's own problems, still a better explanation for the existence of consciousness and free will than quantum mechanics could ever be.

regards.
