yes, fm radio is terrible right now. and yes, we do worry too much... it's just that at some point, I'd like to actually be able to make a living off of music between the band and doing some recording or post production stuff on the side. not make tons of money, but make enough to not have to worry about having to slave away, destroying my body at some manual labour dayjob... get a dilapidated house in a low income city... you get the picture.

the general public likes to see big promotional stuff....

one can be the best band in the world, but if there is no hard dollar promotion behind it...people wont give it the night or day (sad but true)

There are sooooo many crapy bands out that have money backing them up and therefore they SELL.

I hear the latest Daft Punk album is POOP, but people still buy it due to the promotion it got and the money that is backing it up.

It it was up to me...I would make you guys the next Depeche Mode...cause I think you guys have the talent, sadly its up to the big name labels to make a star.

but you'd be surprised how many bands go down that route, and end up with having nothing more than when they started. out of all of the bands that the majors sign, 80% fail... and "recoupable cost" clauses usually end up meaning that the band pays for everything out of sales in the end. and let's face it, most bands that ended up signing to majors, had to change themselves to the point where pretty soon, it just wasn't cool anymore.

A lot of people *are* tired of the garbage that the big labels are releasing now... they just need to realize that there's good stuff out there that doesn't have a million dollar advertizing budget. Basically, people need to realize the bands like Good Charlotte are a bunch of session musician wankers that represent corporate america, and are *not* punk or alternative in any sense of the word. Now if only there was a way to makt that happen... ;)
