Whatever your position on the issue, the twin speeches today from the current president and recent former vice-president underline a fundamental competition in this country regarding our moral, legal, and security issues. I'm just concerned that so many people see things so starkly in red or blue that they won't even consider trying to make a purple country as we move forward.

Sometimes, compromise isn't the solution. Sometimes, it's worth fighting hard for what you believe.

In some cases, no. In some cases, yes. I don't think that abortion is an issue of compromise possibility, for example.

I have problems with some of Obama's ideas, but I wouldn't trust anything Cheney said. He brings new meaning to "snake in the grass".

These parties have to meet in a middleground. . .and make it work, or this country is finished. I just read where Liberty University is banning the "Democratic Club" because Democrats don't have Christian moral values. Thinking like this is destroying the country. These aren't Christians, these are Nazi's hiding under Jesus robes.
