My initial reaction to Deathly Hallows was a deep revulsion. I finished at 3:00 a.m. and thought to myself (to quote my dear friend William Shatner) "Is this all there was? What was all the fuss?" I felt deeply unsatisfied. It felt shallow. I felt no emotional attachment.
Now, though, two days later, I'm sitting at my desk and suddenly I'm like "OMG Snape! Snape DIED." And then I feel a little like crying. I think I needed a few days to process. I'm still not thrilled with the book but it feels a little better now.
