Her best friend since childhood, Aerith cares very deeply for Leon and is very, very glad to have him here with her, especially since everyone else seems to know a different her. Things are a little weird between them now since they kissed at the luau. They haven't really talked about it, and he keeps doing things like kissing her on the cheek and loaning her his jacket, but are those closer to best friend things or boyfriend things?

Aerith was a bit dismayed to find that Yuffie wasn't the one from Radiant Garden, but was happy to discover they still got along. She's also glad that Yuffie doesn't seem scared or freaked out to see her. Yuffie gave her some ribbons and spent time with her during the night, and it's almost the same.
