I don't have a decent CD burning program that can burn copies of CDs and erase data off CD-RW CDs. So last night, I stayed up really late using trial-and-error to find a good program.
CD Mate is a really good program. Of course, since it's so good, you can only use it for a trial time.
Anyhow, I burned copies of Grim Fandango and Worms: Armageddon for her, so she can play them when she gets home. She's told me that she was very interested in Grim Fandango-- and I don't blame her. It totally kicks ass. But I gave her Worms: Armageddon in hopes of getting her hooked. Maybe with any luck she, Matt, and I can play a round together! The game has addictive and fun multiplayer.
Wild day of Schlitterbahn. Hours upon hours of sun, water, dunking, dirty jokes, meaningful conversations, and such. I'm beginning to suspect that Alex lives in Schlitterbahn. I've seen him four times already, in the last six days. I didn't get to take many pictures at all-- and I get the feeling they're all going to be crummy, anyway. Shit.
AND I COMBATTED THE FUCKING ANNOYING WATER IN MY EAR ALL EVENING
I tried Swim Ear, I tried more water, I tried Q-tips... I have heard the world in a gentle hush all night, and it's pissing me off to no end.
In the evening, we went to see another movie. I really liked the concept in Van Helsing of combining a bunch of old horror clichés, but I really thought that the things could have been presented better. I mean, how the heck was Frankenstein so well-versed and literate? Oh well. I liked Van's auto-crossbow.
It was very hard to say goodbye, and come to terms that I won't see Ashley again for a good while, probably. I made the hug last a considerable amount of time.
The last two days have been amazing, but every
good thing has to come to an end. I'm just thankful that I got some
time to see her, at all.
