rick darling... i cant begin to stress enough how incredibly happy i am for you and how proud i am that you decided to make this decision... i know its hard, trust me i do... and i wish i could tell you that the thoughts go away, but they dont... all i can promise you is that with every passing day it gets better and easier... even now im sure you can see the wonderful things that life in sobriety can promise you, and while they may or may not be all that big, its significance in your life will impact you in ways you never thought possible... you go from nothing, to everything and it just keeps getting better... the days that are bad, they can be real shitty, but youjust have to remember that even the worst things you experience sober are way better than what you experienced on dope... and while you and i may not share the same bottoms of in our addictions, we do know more about each other than a lot of people do, and we also understand what its like to be living a life of sobriety, and because of that we can be each others best ( ... )

My dad went from being a big time coke head/dealer to being completely sober.
Although it took him 3 trips to jail to turn around...
He's been into NA for a little over 7 years now.

I know you may not relate too much with the religion aspect of NA, but hearing some of the stories at meetings with him has made an impact on my life.

good luck with everything, I know you can do it.
I'll always be there for support too. (468-2689)
