Hi friends. Berkeley or UCLA?

Berkeley: better educational school

UCLA: better campus and regents scholarship and safer

I really cant decide.

personally, I'd do UCLA: scholarship, plus no scary Bay Area liberals.

But that's just me.

I figured that most of these people have already read your pro/con list, so there was no point for me to do one of my own. Also, I was lazy.

Btw, where are you and Dorit leaning toward going? 2 weeks and counting

UCLA!!!!

Undergrad degree really doesn't matter. Berkeley is a negligibly better school. Go to which ever school feels right or you'll spend the next 4 years in misery.

Not negligbly no way. Who is getting that? Berkeley is #1 public and UCLA is like #5 or beyond. Berkeley has all the nobel laureates and engineering/business strength by far. It's also much more recognized internationally. However, UCLA still offers many good opportunities, and you have the regents scholarship, so you can make use of that there to get more internships or something better. UCLA also cleaner, safer, tastier. Berkeley more gritty. Comfort vs independence, I guess.

and of course, pick which school suits you best. Your four years.

Cal is 21st (1st public) and UCLA is 25th (4th public), tied with Georgetown. just clarifying.

first, u should visit berkeley. second, a lot of the factors- education, better campus, safety, etc can seemingly cancel each other out b/c each school has it's equal share of pros and cons. so, it basically comes down to wut i think mike said- choose the school that feels just right. w/e that means. haha. i'm sure u'll make the right decision. zai jien!
