oh jesus...i feel a rant coming on!jayne_brokenDecember 16 2003, 06:04:15 UTC
*sigh* why do people always feel the need to peddle their religion to people? Christians make me so mad sometimes!
My mother (who happens to be one of the most Christian people i know) once told me that you don't have to believe in god to be spiritual, and you don't have to go to church to be a Christian. As long as you know you're a good person and stick to your ideas (i say 'idea' because, as we all know, it makes more sense to have ideas than beliefs...[thank you Dogma]) on how to live a good life and just be happy....then fuck everyone else who tries to push their beliefs on you. I'm not saying that's what this guy was trying to do....but it certainly sounded like it to me. You are a good, decent, kind-hearted, beautiful, creative, SPIRITUAL person...so fuck 'em all.
*whew*....that felt good. :P P.S. i love you sweetheart.

Looks to me like he is trying to preach/discuss his relationship with God and how homosexuality fits into it. It also seems like he is trying to draw you in by mentioning that "...there are things that were not taught in church..." to mean that he has "new and exciting news" for you and that he can help you be sure you're goin to heaven. Woo hoo! lol =^) I much prefer being spiritual dammit! What's so friggin hard to understand about labeling yourself as simply spiritual? lol Shall we discuss our views with him in a lengthy non-religious spiritual discussion? Nah...it'd be too confusing for him ;^)
Sounds like a veiled attempt at flirting, actually....

I agree with the comment that he probably likes to have stimulating conversation about religion with cute boys. Not that "I've" ever done that, no. (rolls eyes). If he were really just trying to convert you, he would have pulled up the usual assortment of clobber verses to help convince him of just how hot hell will be for us. Tsk, like we've never heard this stuff before. I think he's just trying to get your attention in the only way he knows how. "Hey, handsome, what's your sign? Do you come here often?" isn't the only lame pickup line around. My suggestion: ask him if oral sex is really a sin, since oral isn't real sex anyway.
