I just refigured my budget, and I'm not excited about it. If I stick to it and all goes well, I'll have maybe $5 leftover each month to play with. This probably means that I will not be turning on very many lights (I'm glad I have candles!) or running my A/C much this summer. I'll be taking shorter showers and I will be washing my hair at school

I am glad to see that your hopes are up right now. I agree completely, money isn't everything. It is a monetary means of calculating life's value...and it can't purchase anything that humans truly need to be happy (you know, not to just survive, but to be happy in life)....get what I'm saying...

Ditto on what Laurel said. I know we're not yet close friends, but if you're ever up for some cheap fun, lemme know. Due to my car woes ($3500 needed for a new engine + $800 to pay back in towing fees) in addition to other bills that piled up while being off work unpaid, I will not be spending lavishly anytime in the near future... but there's tons of free stuff to do that can be fun.
