Due to my cowardly reluctance to discuss my personal life on LiveJournal, I'll be reflecting this evening instead on the trailer to the upcoming Johnny Cash biopic (hopefully not pronounced like myopic) Walk the Line starring Joaquin Phoenix (pronounced like it's spelled, obviously) and Reese Witherspoon. One must either be very confident or very foolish to take on the role of Johnny Cash, especially now that every hipster in America is eyeballing you. It would have been easier (but probably not greenlighted) five years ago.

You're always an amusing, keen observer. I won't worry about missing the personal stuff.

Looks kind of "Ray" esque with all the sexy, steamy drama. I think I'm going to like it, though.

Does Reese Witherspoon sing June Carter's parts?

At least it's not Renee Zellweger.

Hopefully just steamy enough to distract from any future family emigration crises. If not for the weird issues with the subtitles, Ray might have not quite met that threshhold. Do you think there will be creepy forest fire scenes, a la "Ray"'s flooding DTs?

Reese singing... Hmmm... I'm not certain if she does or not. And more to the point -- will she play her own autoharp? It was good enough for Catherine O'Hara. Maybe they left that out of the trailer on purpose.

You're right -- silver lining about Zellweger.
