Planted cannas yesterday, and then tried to water them. Water sprayed everywhere from the tap, not just into the hose and out the other end. Fortunately, it stops when the tap is turned off.

I found the split in the pipe, but I don't think i can fix it myself. Need to call plumber on Monday. :-(

Another of the great ones has left us.

The Doctor likes banana daiquiris. The Doctor said "bananas are good". The Doctor has never seen this book.

The Ig Nobel prizes were awarded yesterday. And I've been passed over yet again! My genius continues to go unrecognized! Congratulations (if that is the right word) to all of the winners (if that is the right word).

Since I can no longer be smug about the no-television thing, I will instead be smug about my crossword puzzle awesomeness.

I finished the Saturday NYT one by myself. In pen.
