Spring Break OMG Long Post Extravaganza!!!

Apr 09, 2007 05:17

So I haven't posted to LJ in a long time but I figured I'd fill people in on what has been going on in my life.

This is a huge post so I figured I'd separate it by categories under both the Livejournal cuts as well as in bold headings accompanying the text itself.

Spring Break:
Spring break came at a hectic point in the year, so it was pretty nice to get a break and get away from campus. Most of my friends were away at school because of Madison's odd timing for their break.

I spent most of spring break (actually everyday if i remember correctly) hanging out with Julia and her sister Kerstin. They're fun people, so it was a blast.

I was supposed to go golfing with Carl, Jacob, and maybe Sam but that didn't happen. Hopefully we'll get back to that this summer.

Madison:
I came back to Madison on Saturday. Patrick's parents drove me and we left at 8:30am. The ride was actually a ton of fun, which makes me even more excited for having Patrick as a roommate next year. Assuming he doesn't already hate me and want to switch.

I was really bored my first day back because I had a 5 1/2 hour wait before I could go see Rose. I spent it cleaning and rearranging my dorm room. In the end my room was a ton more organized and feels a lot more open.

Finally, Rose came and I gave her her birthday present, which may still be in my room. Oh well. Then I had dinner at her house with her immediate and one tiny slice of her extended family. Very nice. I now have places to stay if I ever happen to visit Israel. Later on that night Rose and I spent a quiet night together which was very nice.

Filming:
So I was supposed to catch a 7am bus this morning to film in the Milwaukee area. I got a very lovely call at 2:30am saying that I should wait till 10:30am and just catch a ride with one of my directors. Getting more sleep was definitely a very very nice thing.

Today we shot scenes in which I'm driving and talking to the main female role. We spent about 2 or 3 hours in one neighborhood driving around. As you can imagine, it looked a bit suspicious and we had the cops called on us.

Needless to say, during a scene in which I was speaking to a character and driving, I got pulled over. That sucked a ton. After realizing we were a bunch of crazy college film people, the policewoman seemed to become more interested in hearing about our story plot than anything else. She left and we proceeded.

I had a lot more scenes to shoot but they were all cancelled. So I sat around the house from about 5pm until 2:30am doing absolutely nothing while my co-actors and the directors filmed a wide variety of other necessary scenes.

This weekend for the crew was filled with dead batteries, and technological failures. Needless to say we didn't get a lot of stuff done.

Oh well, for those of you who didn't feel the need to read my incredibly large post, I leave you with this:

Oh my gosh, it is incredibly early in the morning, I just got home, and I have class at 9:55am.

Goodnight all!
